Anomalous Behavior During Low Rate Discharge of Li/CFX Cells

نویسندگان

چکیده

Lithium-carbon monofluoride (Li/CF x ) D-sized battery cells discharged at very low rates (C/1800) were found to deliver inconsistent capacities. These effects be absent as the discharge rate was increased C/600. Destructive physical analysis of C/1800 confirmed corrosion, manifesting preferential utilization Li anode around copper current collector, discoloration remaining excess Li, and more crucially loss adhesion resulting in a premature completion discharge. This anomalous behavior may attributed competing corrosion reaction during discharge, whereby + is lost electrolyte that similar current-producing charge transfer process. At higher rates, this process masked by significant generated full cell, which occurs much rate. The capacity delivery relate uneven breakdown surface film these where density low. Experimental data from both three-electrode describing effect are presented, well possible remedies for desired.

Anomalous Hydrogen/Strontium Discharge

We report the observation of intense extreme ultraviolet (EUV) emission from incandescently heated atomic hydrogen and atomized strontium. Typically the emission of extreme ultraviolet light from hydrogen gas is achieved via a discharge at high voltage, a high power inductively coupled plasma, or a plasma created and heated to extreme temperatures by RF coupling (e.g. > 10 6 K) with confinement...

Low Voltage Charge/Discharge Behavior of Manganese Hexacyanoferrate

Recently, Prussian blue analogues (PBAs) have been reported to exhibit a low voltage charge/discharge behavior with high capacity (300–545 mAh/g) in lithium-ion secondary batteries (LIBs). To clarify the mechanism of low voltage behavior, we performed ex situ synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction (XRD) and ex situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS) of a film of Na1.34Mn[Fe(CN)6]0.84·3.4H2O w...

Assessment and treatment of low-rate high-intensity problem behavior.

Functional analysis of low-rate aggression was conducted during extended observation periods and showed behavior to be maintained by positive reinforcement. Treatment consisted of variable-momentary differential reinforcement of other behavior and was successful in reducing problem behavior throughout these extended observation periods.

Anomalous Behavior of the Homogeneous Ice Nucleation Rate in “No-Man’s Land”

We present an analysis of ice nucleation kinetics from near-ambient pressure water as temperature decreases below the homogeneous limit TH by cooling micrometer-sized droplets (microdroplets) evaporatively at 103-104 K/s and probing the structure ultrafast using femtosecond pulses from the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) free-electron X-ray laser. Below 232 K, we observed a slower nucleation...
